Despite my earlier attempts at being a reasonable human being, I’m not going to pretend that the Jean-Paul/Jean-Claude thing didn’t detract from my enjoyment of Astonishing X-Men #48. The reasons are as follows.
1) Mantlo and his freaking “half-elf” reveal. Got the last name name wrong, “Jean-Claude” is the first name of JP’s misnamed dad, and, frankly, getting a character’s name...
