Newsreel: —As America’s Super-Soldier, Captain America, with his sure-shootin’ partner, Bucky, keeps the Krauts on the run! So take that, Hitler!
Bucky: Ha! Listen to that crowd, Steve, they love us. We should put on our masks and give them real thrill.
Steve: Easy, Bucky. That’s not what it’s about…we lost a lot of good men that day, remember that.
Bucky: Of course I remember, Steve…criminey, I held that poor kid’s hand while he bled out on that field.
Steve: You don’t see that on a newsreel, though, do you? No one’s cheering for that poor kid form Idaho.
Bucky: Cripes…Toro was right about you.
Steve: What? What’d Toro say?
Bucky: You’re too serious. We get a week’s leave. Get to go home for a change…and you’re bringing the war home with us. You gotta learn how to relax pal.
Steve: I see…and Toro said all this, did he?
Bucky: Ha…you’re a real cutup, Steve. Sometimes I think if you didn’t have me, there wouldn’t be a single person in the world who really understood you…
